Welcome to Gold Leaf Leather Co., where every piece is handcrafted with passion, precision, and just the right amount of stubborn perfectionism. Located in Mint Hill, NC, I’m a one-person leather-crafting operation, which means every item you order is made by me, with my own two hands—no assembly lines, no shortcuts, just quality craftsmanship.

I work with a variety of premium leathers, but I have a special love for "pull-up" leather—it’s tough, ages beautifully, feels incredible, and smells like real leather should. I also enjoy working with waxed canvas, because, well, it’s rugged, stylish, and pairs perfectly with leather.

All my materials come from four trusted U.S.-based suppliers, each with their own specialty leathers. From belts, wallets, and coin trays to tote bags, crossbody bags, and travel gear, I create timeless, durable pieces that are meant to last a lifetime (literally—every product comes with a lifetime warranty).

Because each item is made to order, there’s a 4 to 6-week lead time, but trust me, good things take time. My Story

I first got into leatherwork back in 1976—not because I planned to, but because I needed leather sheaths for the custom knives I was making at the time. One thing led to another, and before I knew it, the leather business had completely taken over. Turns out, I enjoyed working with leather just as much (if not more) than crafting knives, and well… here we are.

Today, I have my own fully equipped workshop, stocked with everything I need to handcraft each piece from start to finish. There’s something truly satisfying about being in the shop, listening to music, and knowing that the leather goods I create will be enjoyed by someone, somewhere—whether they found me online or through a personal recommendation. That thought alone keeps me inspired.

I love the process of designing and bringing bags and leather goods of all types to life. Even better, I get to collaborate with customers to create pieces that reflect their vision while staying true to the craftsmanship that defines Gold Leaf Leather Co..
